Repainting the interior of my 1961 and I don't want to spend a lot of $ on spray cans. Can anyone give me an idea on the "mix" for the red lacquer paint and a lead on where to get it mixed. Thanks, Steve

Re: 1961 Red Interior Paint
One spray can is probably enough to do the interior, two at most. You'll probably spend more on getting lacquer mixed in small quantity. Even if you get a pint of base and flatten the clear, it will be more than a couple of spray cans. You can find the mixing formula on DuPont's website. Look up "Riverside Red". It is the same color and formula as "Roman Red"; only the name has changed.- Top

Re: 1961 Red Interior Paint
Corvette Central has a Interior Lacquer (# 131075-*)*=paint code. in 12 0z. aerosol that is very good. I have used it for hardware interior parts I did not sray with the body. Be a little careful when the aerosol can gets a little low, for it will start to sputter, best to start a new can. also do not buff.- Top
