Was there a vapor barrier (paper shielding) between the door panel and the door itself? Mine doesn't seem to have it(65 conv.). Maybe it should have? In the AIM it states clearly it did, ZIP-products sells them. But so far I have not heared about it. Anyone with an answer?
Yes, it should. The "correct" type should be brown kraft paper with black backing, available from the better Corvette parts houses. The replacement type (plastic) will possibly be more effective, and cost less, but if you desire to have your car judged, and you use the modern stuff, then you better make sure that none of it is visible after the door trim is installed.
