    63 wonderbar radio parts

    Hello to all,
I just had a fellow service my 63 a.m. radio and he discovered the the station stop single component has fried points. Does anyone have a source for parts other than ripping another radio apart.
    Thanks in advance,

Don't understand the technical term you're using (single stop). If you mean the control solenoid in the tuner section burned up, these parts have LONG been discontinued. Those skilled in the art of repairing WB radio sets go to their back room inventory of used/orignal parts obtained by dissecting WB sets taken from scrap yard cars to effect repair.

BTW, the basic WB radio continued in production beyond '63 when Corvette stopped using it and underwent a conversion to a fully solid state circuit topology (yep, the later transistorized circuit board CAN be retrofitted into earlier vacuum tube versions of the radio chassis) that can be found in other GM cars (E.g. Cadillac) as late as 1965. So, if it's a burned up tuner control solenoid and your radio man doesn't have one, I think I'd be looking for a better radio technician skilled/tooled in WB radio service....
