In exploring the transmission "Pit" of my garage, I've run across a 1963 Muncie main case that bears an assembly stamp of "P0327" - I believe that this is the earliest one I've seen - what is out there? Also the usage stamp is "B205044" - obviously a passenger car, but what is the "B"?

The production code indicates a Muncie, IN transmission manufactured on March 23. If it's a 1963 Muncie, then the year of manufacture for this unit had to be 1963.
The "B" in the VIN-derivative indicates the Baltimore, MD GM-assembly plant, which is where the car that this transmission was originally installed in was built. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
