C2 Under coating

I've read the Judging manual but am still unclear about how much undercoating was applied under the fron and rear fenders for my 66. I'm cleaning off the old undercoating that eas too liberally applied and preparing the car for paint after which I want to re undercoat the front and rear fender wells.

Varied with the phase of the moon....

I've seen untouched original inner fenders with a 'dribble' of undercoating, maybe 1.5-inches in width, centered with 'perhaps' an arc of 105 degrees of vertical to similar cars with undercoating in the wheel wells that 'goobered' onto forward cornering lamp installation and as far back as showing definite 'drip' blobs on the lower mounting bolts of A/C equipped car's inner fender battery cutouts.

That may explain why you can't find a 'concise' definition of how much and where on wheel well undercoating. It wasn't an exact science--assy line folks were in a hurry to get production out the door and coverage varied with the UAW worker who shot the gun and the QA/QC staff doing 'write ups' that day/week, Etc..... Why not simply restore your car AS you found and documented it? That way you already have the 'correct' answer....
