I apologize in advance for this bizarre request. My 1967 convertible is going in for a repaint next month. I am looking for a picture of the front fender area, under the louvers between the front wheel and front edge of the door-no sidepipes, standard rocker mouldings.
Why ? Currently, I get a nice gap between the top of the rocker and the bottom of the rear qtr, door and front fender, except that the final 3-4 inches approaching the rear of the front wheel well, the gap closes to nothing (top of the rocker butts up against the fiberglass where it curves into the car). Originally thought maybe the nose was drooping. Nope, everything measured properly and constructed properly. My painter says he has seen midyears with a nice stable gap rear to front and just as many with my situation. I have looked at lots of internet pictures and can not draw a conclusion. No better time to address the problem-if there is one-than now.
Thoughts or pictures would be appreciated.
