Body shim question

On my Janurday 8th '68 built car I have some questions on the body shims.

In all locations I have the alum. puck shim, all locations have what appears to be a steel shim/washer just slightly smaller than the alum puck. Some locations have a square thim plate/shim. My question is concerning the marked shim count. Which of the previous are counted as shims. ie. #4 is square plate, washer looking shim and a alum. puck. Is that shim count for that location 3? Thanks in advance.

Rob, You must be talking about a C3 like a 68. The shims are only the square steel sheet metal pieces with the formed up corners. These are the only pieces counted for shims and markings.

Thanks for the response. That makes sense all locations have one of each of the alum and steel blocks. At locations where no shims were needed was a zero marked?
