Mystery number... (1963 Roadster)

I was wondering if anyone could help me decipher a number that I found on my 63 Roadster while doing a body off resto. The number in question is written in orange/red crayon in the front right wheelwell. Specifically, it is on the backside of the outboard-upper fender panel. The number written there is " 227 - 16 "

I know about the 227... because I found 227 written on the body in several other locations (behind door panels, firewall-side of passenger footwell, in front of gas tank, on green-primed area above passenger fresh-air vent)

I was just wondering if anyone knew about the " - 16 " part.

I dont know if you need this info but...
Serial number - 120188 (4th week of July63)
Options - C07, L76, M20, N34, U69

The "227" is the Body Shop sequential "Job Number" found on all St. Louis Corvettes; have no idea what the "-16" means.

I have found bin numbers on fiberglass panels. Bill... great pictures.
