The center. It should also have spot welds for the baffles on BOTH SIDES and spot welds for the trap door.

You can still purchase an oil pan for your application from GM under GM #359937. This oil pan will not be exactly correct in all fine nuances. However, it's general configuration will be correct, it will have the bottom mounted oil drain, and it will be NEW. For 1955 to 1974 Corvette small blocks, this is the only oil pan still available from GM. For how much longer, who knows? Current GM list is about 170 bucks.

This oil pan will use the 1975-79 style front seal and a 1975-79 gasket set is supplied with the oil pan. I recommend using a Fel Pro 1 piece, though. Fel Pro # OS-34510-T is the one that you need for this pan.

I wanted to take the time to thank you for your response to my 61 oil pan question.You have helped me many times with the questions I've run into while restoring my 61. What I especialy appreciate is that you always go far beyond just answering the question, you also take the time and effort to give a solution. Once agin I am indebted to you.
