C1 Ignition Shielding

I am debating whether or not I have the correct upper ignition shielding on my '56. It seems to me that I have seen somewhere outline drawings showing the differences between the earlier versus later versions. Seems like I remember the "skirt" on the 56's was shorter in front than the later (58 on) versions. I have checked the new archives on "ignition shielding" and nothing useful turned up. Can someone show me a real 56 top shielding so that I can compare? Thanks!

Page 414 of Noland's Volume I book has an excellent description and illustrations of the progressive changes in the C1 shielding.

I believe the 1st design was chrome and the 2nd design stainless
also the chrome shield has a circular hole on top and the
stainless shield should have a slot on top.
A guy I know did some research on this and gave me a copy of what

Also in the info he gave me it says the accelerator slot
was 1.5 inch in the early design up to about # 600 and
1.75 inch in the second design. My car is # 316 and the
shield just happens to be off now I just messured it at 1.5"
