The tank sticker on my '67 Coupe (A O Smith, non A/C) has two options for Tinted Glass. The first is A01 which I understand is one of three possible options (Std, A01, A02). However, two lines down is another option for tinted glass Y60. I don't see this option listed in Noland Adams book or in the '67 JG. It appears that A01 is not affected by the presence/absence of C60 but the 60 in the option makes my wonder if somehow relates to non A/C?? Can anyone tell me what this option specifies? Thanks, Jim B

Every AO Smith body's paperwork was coded with THEIR numbers for the options required on that particular car, which was part of their accounting procedure for billing Chevrolet for payment for that body. Internally, AO Smith had a complete subset of groupings of labor operations which they matched to their contractual agreement so each body was individually invoiced to Chevrolet. That's why you see things like "2YXXXX" in the lower portion of a tank sticker on an AO Smith-bodied car.- Top

So the only code that I would say is not body-related is the N40 Power Steering. Maybe Ionia MI still had something to do to accomodate this option.- Top

Per what John said, I'd think it's just a repeat using A O Smith's "Y " code. The example Wayne mentions has A02 then Y61 which the same thing.
It would be interesting to see an a/c tank sticker with A02 (Windshield only). It would also have the tinted rear glass on a coupe since the tinted glass was part of C60 option.- Top
