      Nah.
      That's one reason why it's a "sleeper".

So JoeWhen are you going to add a steel cap to the diff and tune it! You want to keep it together when you launch the car!

When I first built this car, and it was still a L76 I mounted 7.75/15 Goodyear Power Cushion Goldlines to the knockoffs. As time went by, the goldlines wore out and were replaced with Pirelli P4000s while the engine was upgraded in 3 steps from a stock L76 to what it is now.
The driveline is stock, except for a RS600 5 speed (Ford T45 with special case for C2 Corvettes). SBC halfshafts and straps, not caps on the yoke u-joints. I broke one stub axle years ago, and replaced it with a unit from International Axle. All has been well ever since.
The idea of the skinny Pirelli tires (210/70-R15) is to help prevent drivetrain breakage.
The diff is a 3.70 posi which I built up.

Joe Int axle makes good parts. The 210's will burn up usually before any damage. I'm going over my son's 12 bolt IRS now, he sheared both LH inner/outer spicers last time out at the track. It has about 400 hp at the wheels, not too bad for a SB with a mini blower on it.

              Good power.
I should have said earlier that mine is a normally aspirated 327 using a dual plane intake (Z28/LT1) and a 750 dual feed carb from QF.
              No nitrous.
              No cold air induction (yet).
