I went to a welding shop and ordered directly from a supplier catalog they had. I don't recall the description.
If you want some I can just drop two in the mail..one extra incase you screw up the first one. If so, send me your address. Or see you at Nationals? I'll be judging 53-55.

That would be great. I want to repair my original 62 handle. The rivet was gone when I got the car many years ago. I've been using a ball joint rivet but it's pretty big. Here's my address and thanks again.

Hello, is there any difference between a 1953-61 handle and a 62 handle? I believe I have an orginal without the"A". Would the absence of the mark, with the correct length dimensions and the correct size rivet, would my 1957 handle pass judging?

Yes, 62 handle is special and rare.

Yes Jerry If your handle is as described in the judging manual you are good to go.

I thought we answered that question. The problem is not the dimensions its the rivet. You would get a deduct from me and quite a few other C1 judges I know. Not a huge deal pointwise but you can change the rivet. Also look at the working end to ensure it has the spoon shape the manual probably discusses.

I just got back from Florida and found the rivets had arrived. I'll try to get one set in a day or so. Thanks again for the help. Rich
