67 jack lug wrench issue new 67 jg

th edition JG but the 5th edition JG changed. I believe the 5th edition is incorrect or incomplete.

Attached is a scan page 40 from Noland Adams VOL.2. My wrench matches it completely.

I need someone to help understand this. Questions: is the 5th edition JG incorrect, was there multiple suppliers of the wrench, was there an early / late wrench. I know mine is the wrench that came with my 67 when I took delivery of it in May 67 and it has never been out of my possession.

opinion and their finding is not necessarily 100% in my opinion! Years ago I had my 64 at Bloomington, I was the second owner and knew the first owner, and it had never been altered or changed in any way. Seat belts were reported to me by two Bloomington judges to be incorrect, yet I am absolutely positive those belts came with the car when new, and the original owner confirms. So if you are the original owner, and that lug wrench is the one that came in your car, I would just consider that judges make mistakes too!!

I am the one and only owner of my 67, ordered by me in April 67. It was judged as Top Flight 3 times at Lone Star Regional’s with no deduction for the lug wrench. In fact, at the 2011 L/S Regional a judge asked me to use my jack and wrench as an example to others at the event.

My lug wrench matches the description in the 4th edition JG but the 5th edition JG changed. I believe the 5th edition is incorrect or incomplete.

TYPICALLY has a"O" cast on the side of the rubber cusion around the end" - Picture clearly show an "O".
DOES TYPICALLY MEAN IT MUST HAVE AN "O"?

            2. ... "hex socket is riveted with concentric circles" - Picture shoe circles

If the JG states the above and shows pictures I believe judges will judge the wrench based on the JG. That follow that mine is incorrect and I don't believe that to be the case.

              Ron,

We need to research the possibility of several OEM configurations. As mentioned in the previous post, we have examples of the cast O to be faint and possibly not visible; using the word typically indicates usually, but not always. The concentric circle rivet issue needs a bit more research to determine if it is just your car or a subset of other known originals that share your anomalies.

If you could post (and send me) a few photos clearly displaying your discussion points, we can present it to the Interior revision team for further review.

If other owners of known original 67 lug wrenches share their observations regarding configurations above, and you do some research on your own to present to us, we can develop a practical consensus. Since your lug wrench received no deducts for originality during the course of three separate NCRS judging events, judges must feel it may not have been typical but appeared original.

Also, please review the Foreword and Preface pages for further understanding. Purpose of this Publication statement is significant, as is how to properly present a proposal to revise the current CTIM&JG.
