My 62 is a 340 4 speed with a draft tube, I have a dual point with no vacuum advance.....does the washer vacuum line go to a hollow carb stud on manifold, or does it go to the rear base plate of the carter AFB.....I Think it goes to the carb base plate through a elbowed reducer fitting....am I correct? Does anyone have a photo of an original?

Re: 1962 340 washer vacuum tube
This book is why I am confused.....these pictures show a lot of conflict.....for example on page 364 you see dual point, no RPO 242 so it has a draft tube and you see the washer vacuum out the rear base plate...also I see the carb bracket is on top of the overflow bracket stud and accelerator rod looks correct, but wrong white spring...now look at page 365, you see a car with RPO 242 to the baseplate and washer to hollow manifold stud.....correct white spring, accelerator rod backward and the bracket is mounted one bolt inward on manifold......
i have a 340 hp without RPO 242..... Hollow tube or rear of carb? Follow up which manifold bolt does the spring bracket attach to......my dual point has no vacuum advance can. Just don't have access to unrestored original pictures or car...
