1962 drivers door mirror, mounting location.....need a favor

Does anyone have a original 62 door that they can do a pencil rub tracing of the two through mounting holes referencing the a-pillar post and door leading edge.....I have 4 holes in my door from someone moving the location, they are close to each other and I can't figure out which are correct. Thanks, Dino

    Dino,

With a straight edge running from front edge of door, the first hole is 3 9/16" back and the second hole is 5 5/16" back. Measuring from the door post at the front-most edge, the second hole is 1 3/4" from the door inner edge. The first hole is 1 /13/16" from the door edge since there is a slight curvature in the inner door edge.

    Hope this helps.
