    68 dash wiring

I have an early 68 without ac. I'm installing a new dash harness. My question is: there are two black wires with eyelets that are ground wires. One is off the wires that go to the speedometer, the second one is off the tach wire cluster. Does anyone know where they attach to? Any pictures? I believe the wire near the speedometer possibly goes to a ground on the left side of the bird cage. Thanks for the help..... John

    Re: 68 dash wiring

    Hi John,
On my 71 the ground wire that exits the dash harness at the same point as the lighting tails for the speedo ends in an eyelet as you describe and is screwed to the hinge pillar as you surmise.
    Perhaps your 68 is similar?
In the 71 AIM it's shown in UPC 13, Sheet B4, Instrument Panel Wiring Harness.
    Regards,
    Alan

I have a picture of the hinge pillar hole's location but can't up load it for some reason?!?
