Nice that the auto manufactures are standing up and voiding warranties. Like the lady said, " lots of money changing hands". It's amazing what we let get shoved at us!

Re: New gas coming...
That's a very old YouTube post from 2012.
Here's what Snopes says about it.
At the end of 2013, the EPA announced it was reducing the amount of ethanol that must be blended into gasoline in 2014 (in part because the overall demand for gasoline in the U.S. has dropped), requiring transportation fuel companies to blend 15.21 billion gallons of ethanol into the nation's fuel supply in 2014, down from 16.55 billion gallons in 2013. Critics of the EPA's blending requirements pointed out that the announcement came just four days after the Associated Press published a lengthy investigative article documenting substantial environmental harms caused by ethanol which concluded that "The ethanol era has proven far more damaging to the environment than politicians promised and much worse than government admits today":
Ethanol mandates have spurred farmers to grow corn on relatively unproductive land that remained undeveloped prior to the mandate, the Associated Press observed.

IMO...This is politically changed and will probably go nowhere quickly.

Re: New gas coming...
Absolutely good to see so many standing up to the government and stopping this. I do wonder when the government, and the oil companies, will remove or relabel E15 and E30 from the pumps and make it clear it is for Flex-Fuel cars only.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: New gas coming...
Until recently the statutory ethanol limit on mogas was 10 percent by volume. In the last year or two EPA approved 15 percent for, IIRC, 2001 and up model years cars, but this is not a requirement.
In order to offer E15 mogas retailers would have to install additional pumps and there is no financial incentive to do so. In addition, the manufacturing cost of a E15 is greater than E10 at the same PON, so refiners have no financial incentive to make E15. IMO the "15 percent ethanol approval" is nothing but window dressing that industry and the public are totally ignoring.
Has anyone actually seen a pump labeled 15 percent ethanol in the USA?
A few retailers have E85 pumps - 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline - but in addition to cutting range by 30-40 percent, E85 also increases the fuel cost per mile despite having a lower pump price than E10.

Re: New gas coming...
An unexpected side effect of the corn crop being diverted to make ethanol, was higher corn feed prices that reached a high point of $9 a bushel in 2009 and 2010. At that price all the cattle ranchers started to cull their herds.it happened two separate times in 2010 and 2012. So now we gave less cattle and high beef prices as demand for beef has not gone down.
ethanol subsidies ended at the end of 2012, but the damage has been done. Expect high beef costs for the next 5 plus years until the ranchers can repopulate their herds.- Top

I was going to suggest that whatever you do, don't post this on that other website unless you really want to bring them out of the woodwork. Too late I see.- Top
