Re: *** '68 L36 oil dipstick ***
Hello again.
I recently found a engine dipstick (with a white knob) but I am not sure if it is correct for my '68 L36. No dimple on the handle. On the dipstick is ADD : : FULL ENGINE OIL M What are the measurements I should look for to make sure this is the correct stick for my application.
Thanks in advance.- Top

Based on my research original 1965-1967 dipsticks were stamped "ENGINE OIL". Original dipsticks on 1969-1971 models were stamped "USE GM 6041-M-QUALITY MS OIL" . I'm not sure the stamping on 1968 dipsticks but I assume that it was "ENGINE OIL".
