    1996 Catalytic Converters

I'm trying to install the stock exhaust back onto my 1996 GS. The parts I was given don't seem correct, though. I have one converter with a PN of 25153077, which the JM calls for the right side. The JM does not give a left hand part number. I have two converters with the same part number. Also, when trying to fit the converter to the right side exhaust manifold, it doesn't want to go all the way up to the flange. Am I missing parts or wrong parts or what? I've got the FSM for the car, but it's not much help

    TIA
    Jim

The converters I have will bolt up to the left side exhaust. I guess the right side has a longer neck to clear the starter?

GM #25153077 is the LEFT (driver) side catalytic converter for your application. GM #25153070 is the RIGHT side catalytic converter.

Thanks, Joe. That's what I figured. As always, you're a font of knowledge
