I have a spare distributor from a '64 375hp motor. The distributor tag has the correct number after the word MODEL. Underneath that, there is the word SERIAL, after which reads, O F 19. Can anyone tell me what the O F 19 means?

It's a date code. It decodes to June 19, 1970. The "O" could indicate 1960, 1970, or 1980. Obviously, a 1964 distributor could not have been produced in 1960, so it could not represent 1960. The 1964 FI distributors were out of production by 1980, so it can't represent 1980. So, it's got to be 1970 and this would indicate this distributor started life as a SERVICE unit.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

No other way I know of.
SERVICE unit means a part sold over-the-counter as opposed to being originally installed in a vehicle. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Distributor Tag Info
Robert, '64 FI's had three different distributors. Guessing that yours is the '070. Might also be an '063. The third one was the TI distributor '064.
Dated tags for a specific application are available. John- Top
