68 strange color combo

I recently acquired a 68 roadster currently white with dark blue interior. Trim tag states 411dark blue vinyl and 974 rally red paint? Is this possible? Yuk. Maybe guy dressed up in Uncle Sam costume standing out in front of discount tax return office ordered this as COPO?

Let me guess it has a white top. But no COPO was required to get that color combo. As all the parts to do this was already at the factory. I have seen mid years with this combo

I have a set of 411 seatcovers, new from Al Knock. Probably bought 30 years ago.

On occasion people report cars that are blue with a red interior so I guess your combination is certainly possible too!

Is there any red overspray remaining in the usual places to let you know it was really once red? Under the deck lid, dash or door sill plates?

Blue with red interior was a very popular color with the 289 Cobras.

sorry for slow reply. your mailbox is evidently full. Are these 68 411's ? Looks like 411 was used in 69 etc and color is evidently not the same
