Seems like lots of sources for rear spring liners on C2-C3 up through 1977. Anyone have a source recommendation for later years. Specifically, one of our chapter members has a 1979, and I have a 1980 - both cars have gymkhana suspensions. Thanks!

Re: Rear spring liners on later C3's
I believe that for 1963-1979, the same liner was used, i.e., 2.25" wide, made of graphic-impregnated polyethylene. The 2.5" zinc-based liner started with the 1980 model year. I have no idea where to get the zinc-based liners.

David and Gary------
Yup, they were zinc. The only source I know of is NOS GM----GM #462589. These were discontinued without supercession in January, 1993 and they are very tough to find.
One possible suggestion: try a source that specializes in supplying and servicing truck springs-----a place like Betts Spring. It's possible that zinc liners might have some application for trucks. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
