The judging manual says wheels should be gloss black . What about the backside ? I always thought the backside should be semi gloss . What are the judges looking for ?

Re: 1965 steel wheels
The wheels were first flow-coated overall with semi-gloss black primer and baked, then the outer face of the wheel was sprayed with 83-degree gloss black wheel enamel.- Top

Re: 1965 steel wheels
Hey John,
I realize looking at the back side under the car and if driven any is going to look quite a bit inferior to the face of the wheel. How much shine is 83-degree gloss? I guess a better way to ask is how much difference in luster between the back of the wheel vs the front of the wheel as they left GM?
thanks- Top

83-degree is what we would call, "full gloss"; it isn't going to get any glossier without help from Zaino.- Top
