Looking for a correct bulb. I believe it is a CTO 97, does anybody know where I might get a quality, correct bulb? Thanks for any help with this.

Warren------
The trade number for the bulb is 97 (I don't know where the "CTO" comes from). Most of these miniature bulbs come from abroad these days, mainly from India, China, and Taiwan. I don't know if that makes them good or bad. You can purchase these bulbs from GM under GM #9421777. Most likely, they'll be imported, too.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 1971 license plate lamp bulb
Warren my 1968 license plate lamp bulb is a 67 and a 4 watt bulb. My 1970 takes the same as your 1971, a 97 bulb which is also a 4 watt bulb. I purchased a blister pack of 2 new 67 bulbs made by Sylvania. The package has OSRAM SYLVANIA Hillsboro, NH and Imported by OSRAM SYLVANIA LTD Mississauga, Ontario. My 67 bulb Sylvania package also has bulb watts at 8, the 68 owners manual says the 67 bulb is 4 watts. Bought the Sylvania bulb package at WAL-MART in the automotive section, came in a two bulb blister pack.- Top
