C2 top flight judging on posi & jack sheets

My c2 has been restored using the o.e. jack & posi-trac label/sheets, the current sheets show there age & are slightly torn but legible is this a big deduction on labels or acceptable being original ?

Charles,
you should download the judging score sheets for your mid year, so you can see what number of originality and condition points are allocated to the various aspects of your car that you are addressing. I think that the jack board stickers are just one part of that line item, and I think a pretty small number of points are allocated to the entire board. Most judges appreciate seeing an original board and original stickers, even if they are worn and deteriorated. I would replace any missing stickers with new ones, leave the originals and expect to take a couple of condition point hit for the wear and tear to the board and stickers.

charles- the Jack board underside including the stickers and thumb hole bezel are allotted 6 points originality and 6 condition. So if all stickers and original bezel are present you should get full original points, and only lose 1 or 2 condition for worn or torn original stickers.

Don, thanks for your input good info, I was going to leave them in place and take the hit if I had to, I like the idea of installing new ones along with the old.

Charles - As Don pointed out, you are dealing with "originality" & "condition" points & original stickers are "original" but might lose a point or 2 on "condition." But don't forget that the new stickers are not "original" & while you will probably receive all of the "condition" points, you might well consider that you could lose a point or 2 on "originality." From a judging perspective, I like "originality." Pete
