Warning C7 owners with Valet mode

The new C7 comes on some models with something called Valet mode. Its a safety mode that can lock out certain features that protect your personal items in the car. It also records conversations of anyone who might be in your car. The problem is in many states its a felony to record a persons conversations without them having knowledge of it and you can be arrested. No I am not making this stuff up. GM is doing a recall to correct this feature so until you get your new C7 updated it maybe wise not to use this mode. I guess you could say that Corvette engineers have come a long way since the early C years?

Seems like you could just place a note/label that you are being recorded. I wonder what the recall will involve?

How about a decal that states: You have been Warned ! Do not talk while parking this vehicle!

The recall is a simple software update. Just saying "software update" fully supports the "have come a long way" statement.

My only question...why would you use a valet service with a Corvette?
