67 Corvette Vented Gas Cap Reassembly

    67 Corvette Vented Gas Cap Reassembly

    Hi:
    I just got my 67 gas cap back from the plater, and on the interior piece that is spring loaded up and down, there is a vent piece in the center which I thought was staked in. Upon return of the cap, these pieces fell out during plating, and this is what I have. Does anyone have an picture or guidance on how this should go back together? Am I missing a cup or something else? I'm stumped. Thanks!

      This is best I can do.
      I hope that it helps you.
      It appears that you are missing the flat disc, without the hole in it, that goes against the rubber seal. The flat disc with the hole is the pressed-in "cap" for the assembly.
