Y'all do realize that there has been work on a mid-engine Corvette going on and off since Zora was alive. Although Dave McLellan said there was one Corvette Chief Engineer who was NOT interested in a mid-engine Corvette. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a production mid-engine Corvette.

The Blue Oval & Bow Tie (I prefer the blue Bow Tie to the yellow) wars have always resulted in more performance for consumers. And yes I like seeing domestic in the spot light over any foreign crap.

By the time C8 debuts, if it doesn't have electric motors at each wheel it risks being blown off the road by all the electric commuter cars. Think about how embarrassing it is now when a Tesla shows up at the local drag strip...

The author of that article doesn't know much about Corvette History. The mid engine manufacturers have been kicking GM's butt for over 30 years. New Technology-not a chance! But it does work! Even Ford had a mid engine car 30+ years ago!

HA!!! Too funny. So they think that was a race?? Musk must have been driving the Mopars, they would hardly launch. I can tell you my ZR1 will obliterate that Musk-mobile in any race, and I have the time strips and Texas Mile card to prove it.
