Can somebody explain to me how to tighten up this dash control knob? I have the specialty wrench or socket but can't seem to find the nut with a blind rear approach. Looking at the picture on Lectric Limited site it seems the threading is on the front of the control. My control is so loose that the washer will not activate unless you reach under the dash and push the switch unit forward and hold it in place, then push the center shaft. 1. Remove the knob (loosen setscrew)
2. Tighten special nut against cluster.
3. Re-install knob, tighten setscrew.- Top

Re: Windshield wiper/washer switch loose
I had this same problem that I fixed a couple of days ago. John is correct; remove the knob like he said. I didn't have the special tool to tighten it up, so I used a pair of needle-nose pliers that had bent tips, and it worked well.- Top
