    Nassau Blue Interior Paint

I'm having a heck of a time trying to find the correct interior blue paint for my '65. The exterior color is Nassau Blue. The interior is three different shades of blue. I've researched the Archives here and found the old GM paint code sheet showing the 3 Ditzler interior paint codes: (1) "Medium Dark Blue" (Low Gloss Ditzler 13069) for Windshield lower garnish, etc; (2) "Medium Blue" (Low Gloss Ditzler 13071) for Headliner, etc., and (3) "Medium Blue" (Full Gloss Ditzler 13057) for Windshield side and upper garnish, etc. The problem is that I can't find any paint supplier who still has those codes in his computer. Based upon my research here, I have learned that the "Medium Dark Blue" may convert to Dupont 9189, but the local Dupont supplier cannot access that number in his computer. I have even tried taking the old interior pieces to a paint store, having them photographed, and then having their computer determine a matching color--none of the computer-generated matches really "matched." Can anyone provide to me the actual formula for these three interior blue colors (especially the "Medium Dark Blue")? I'm looking for a precise formula that I can take to a paint supplier and have the paint made, rather than another paint code number that no one can seem to identify. Thanks very much.

      Re: Nassau Blue Interior Paint

Thank you Alan and Ralph for taking the time to respond. I have seen the reference to Dupont 9189-LH, Medium Dark Blue in other posts in the Archives here. This old Dupont paint code apparently corresponds to Ditzler 13069, which was the '65 Vette interior "Medium Dark Blue" paint specifed in the original GM paint code chart for the instument panel, windshield lower garnish, radio speaker sereen, and heater outlet panel.

The problem is that I cannot a dealer who can find a corresponding formula for either Ditzler 13069 or Dupont 9189 now. I've talked with a number of paint suppliers, including two Dupont suppliers, who say that Dupont 9189 simply does not show up in their current computer paint code listings at all. Can someone point me in a different direction? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm stuck on this one.

Did you try the TCP Global?
I found my light saddle tan interior colors there.

http://www.vinylindustrialpaints.com I used to find spray cans of this in the new cars ( GM used it) when I worked at the rail yard. I bought some years ago for my 1970 corvette interior. Their ad online says they have colors back to 1957

Mike, I have a Dupont paint guide published in 1968 for 1967 MY. The interior colors for the bright blue are: 9223LH flat and 9271LH for semi gloss.

I used Teal Blue spray bomb from Vinyl Industrial Paints to restore my center console with very good results and colour match. Whereas the paint from Corvette America covered very poorly and was quickly tossed.
