    C1 Sunvisors

    I have a set of repro sunvisors, that the pins installed easily in the sides, but the visors do not have a hole for the bolt assembly, and I cannot feel a hole under the vinyl. I used a needle to try to locate the hole in the hardboard, without success. Ideas would be appreciated. Ken

      Here are some photos of my original '62 d/s visor with the screw locations. Since your working with repo. visors, I wouldn't be surprised that there are no holes. The holes in the sheetmetal clamp are .148 but the screw dia. ( threaded portion ) are only .110 . The holes in the vinyl are .250 .

          Erich, Would you drill them with a small pilot bit and a higher speed drill motor using light pressure? Thanks for the pics and dimensions. Ken

                  Ken,
                  I have not been on site in awhile. I'm glad it worked out for you. I will eventually be replacing my visors. I suspect I will also have to drill holes in my new visors when the time comes.
