Looking to obtain a Vehicle Appraisal Valuation on a '74 Corvette located in CT. Any thoughts and/or recommendations? Thanks, Ray

The reason for the appraisal is to determine a value for the purposes of a divorce settlement.

      It's $1 then, right?

I assume that the car was probably insured, for an "agreed" value. If yes, going with the agreed insured value would be hard to argue - it may or may not be in your favor but it will be a number that has been established some time ago and not prejudiced by other external influences. Essentially, it is probably a safe number to go with, right or wrong. Good luck.

Agree with Ed. Also, Hagerity has a very good Valuation Guide on their website that could be used. Hemming's also has a long list of Car Appraisers in just about every state. I could check for you if you want. Chuck Berge is also an excellent resource if you need a personal inspection and appraisal. He lives in Virginia and advertises in the Driveline. I would call him first if a personal inspection is needed/desired.

That depends on whose name it's in!
