Re: Correct fuel pump for 1956?
Mike I agree with what the Doc is telling you. You might also want to check what size your fuel line is that will also tell you what pump you need. #4262 would have a 5/16 line . # 4346 requires a larger 3/8. You might also want to get the 1956-1957 Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide. Will be a big help to you with all the little questions you are going to have Dave- Top

Re: Correct fuel pump for 1956?
Michael-------
The AC 4663 is a carburetor originally used for 1958 Corvettes as well as a few other Chevrolet applications. However, it became the SERVICE carburetor for 1956-57 Corvettes. So, while it is not NCRS-correct for the 1956 application it is functionally correct for that application. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Correct fuel pump for 1956?
Many thanks! If there is now difference in how these two pumps perform, then I'll try to get the NCRS correct pump.
My vin number is E56S004102. It was "delivered" on October 15, 1956, though I'm not sure when the car was actually built.
My mechanic confirmed that the fuel line now on the car is 3/8... so it's likely that the #4346 is correct part for my later year car. Now I need to find one.
Where can I get the 956-1957 Corvette Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide?- Top
