    1967 heater hose L79 with a/c

My heater hose is rubbing on my a/c pulley. Is there a pipe that connects the heater hose as it passes through the clamp under the compressor?

      Terry,

I have about 3/8"-1/2" clearance between the heater hose and the compressor pulley. Three pics attached to check your nipple connections. (ignore incorrect clamps and pipe dope on intake nipple

Thank you Larry. All good questions that I will check. I noticed that some suppliers sell a stainless steel heater hose tube for this application on 1964 to late 1966 cars. it seems like a good solution but I am not sure it is correct. My car is very original, water pump etc. but does have a replacement a/c compressor.

          Leif,

Do me a favor and tell me where the other end of the ribbed hose you have attached to your intake nipple goes to . Likewise what is at the other end of the smooth hose that is attached to you water pump ?

          Thanks ,
          Jim

              Larry,

I wanted to know if there is a difference between 66 and 67. Because on 66 the larger ribbed hose goes to the water pump, and the GM logo hose goes to the intake. Just the reverse of his photos.

Is your 67 routed the same way as in his photos ?

                  Larry,

"No………it is routed like your 1966 car."

I thought that might be the case and why you asked me.

So now my original , yet subtly phrased question, will tell us whether he just reversed the ends or used the different hoses all the way through .

                    Terry ,

The answer to your problem could be as simple as too much hose . Could it be cut back so as to make a tighter routing around the corner , so to speak ?

                      Jim,

Please see attached pics. Ribbed hose with white "GM" lettering at intake manifold goes to the HCV and the smooth hose with orange(?) lettering goes to the "T" off the supply tank and then to the heater box.

                        Hi Leif,

Thanks for checking. I was concerned that you had reversed the ends of the hoses when routing them to the intake and water pump ,and while I had no idea what that might do , I assumed it wasn't good . It appears however , that you have the correct routing.

So while I am not even close to being an expert on 67's , I now just think you may have the non-A/C heater hoses on an A/C car. I noticed you flighted at the Texas Regional. What did they say about it , if anything ?

                          Jim,

Thanks for your concern. Regarding the scoring of the hoses, I was docked 2 points for the ribbed hose.
