    Thanks in Advance

Jim, wiring at the starter is pretty simple, The solenoid has two small terminals the pink wire goes to the R terminal(Inboard) and purple wire goes to the S terminal (Outboard). Purple comes from the neutral safety switch and pink starts at ignition switch and goes to upper terminal on ballast where it tee's to the R Terminal. Is this what your looking for?

Actually, the purple solenoid/start wire goes to the inboard small terminal (S), and the pink bypass wire goes to the outboard small terminal (R). The battery cable and the main power feed wire go on the big battery cable stud. See photo below.

Re: Starter wiring picture W/C60 and or help

        Edward,

Thanks , That' s a good start, and I got that from the AIM . it is the rest that confuses me .

As far as I can see , if you include the battery cable , there are seven, if you count the red/black as one, wires to the starter .(see picture provided)

I have from one harness, a black, a pink, a purple and red/black bundle with only one terminal end , and from another harness I have a long red and a short black wire . I have not yet installed the battery cables .

The Aim Shows two ends for the red and black wire it shows going to the solenoid , and shows one black at the mounting bolt positions . If I am correct that the red & black it shows to the solenoid is the same as my bundled one, then it's pretty easy to figure for the 4/5 wire harness . I don't however know where in the AIM to look for the other two wires , I expect C-60 , but have not found that page yet .

I also found the C60 page that changes the battery cable position , but wonder where that end now goes to. It looks like it says Clutch ?? And if the Single Black Ground still goes to the Starter mounting/attaching bolt now that the battery cable does not .

        That's why I figured a picture was worth .......

          Re: Starter wiring picture

          Thanks John,

          That helps a lot .

Now I just need to know where the other two from the A/C harness go, and or what page I can find them on ....If the black ground still goes to the "attaching bolt" even though the battery cable does not, and where the heck the battery terminal does go ?
