Is there a difference in a 63 corvette power brake master cylinder, than a non corvette one, like the impala. This lid also has the larger lettering on top, as the original corvette are small. Need a little help. Thanks.

Re: 63 power brake Master cylinder
Gary, the 63 Corvette master cylinder is a 7/8" bore some of the other pass car 63 master cylinders are 1" bore, they work on different pressures because of this. Don't use these on a corvette. All lettering on original 63 master cylinders had a 1/8 inch lettering, the reproduction ones a 1/4" letters.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Gary, To add to Harrys post check to make sure the line to master cylinder is on the same side(facing wheel well). its possible its a corvette master what your looking at and not a pass. car.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Gary------
The same master cylinder as used for 1963 Corvettes was also used for 1963 passenger cars with power brakes and metallic linings. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
