66 conv. windshield, need correct repo, multiple posts, confusing??

Can someone please help, I need a new windshield for my 66, In reading all the posts, I have concluded no one makes a correct tinted windshield.
Now want to order a correct clear windshield and side glass, multiple suppliers are listed, please help me find the correct supplier?

I went through this a year or two ago myself. I poured through tons of posts, and I don't even remember all the reasons why, but I chose Pilkington. I think the biggest reason was because I was told they make the glass for most if not all the other suppliers out there . So why not go to the source. For that reason ,I think they were cheaper than most of the others as well .

And no, even they did not have the correct tinted windshield.

Bill, As Jim states Pilkington has a vintage divison that can make a clear windshield and side windows with the correct LOF logo and can date them.

Pilkington bought LOF, they own and license the use of the logo, when you buy a Corvette windshield and want the logo, you are getting a DOT 177 pilkington part made in Mexico , you will see that DOT code along the edge, required by law. They have a Division called Pilkington Classics in Columbus Ohio and will sand blast the logo and date code on the windshield with the orientation you want. As others said, no need to deal with a middleman, buy direct, my chapter is doing a judging school on this topic, I am in the windshield business, I am taking to Pilkington now to see if they can and will correct shade band design and thickness issues..... I have heard people talk about the shade band fade is wrong but as originals age the blue turns bronze with UV light and the opacity changes.....so I am not going after that .....
