Battery size

I am looking for the correct dimensions for the battery on a 1962. Need too find a battery to fit the battery tray hold down and shield.

Your car requires a Group 24 battery. Don't have the exact dimensions but you can go to any FLAPS and ask for a Group 24 battery.

FLAPS = Friendly Local Auto Parts Store. i.e. NAPA, AutoZone, Advance, Joe's Auto Parts, etc.

Here's a trick for installing the "J"-bolts and the hold-down. After you get the battery in the tray, put a big elastic band on it. Horizontally. Hook the "J"-bolts into their brackets on the tray. Hold them in place by placing them under the elastic band. Now you can easily install the hold-down. Cut the elastic band and discard.

Now, there's a useful/helpful tip!! Always felt like one needed three hands to install the hold down.
