Where did all the Trim Tags for C3's come from??

Went to E-Bay and searched for Corvette Trim Tags and was surprised to see a whole bunch and I mean a whole bunch of
Trim Tags for C3's. I suspect that most of them are original. They are coming out of the "woodwork" now. Larry

Don't know about C-3 Trim tags but most of the 1967 BB Trim Tags came from Bill Clement at Chevycraft in Lubbock, TX. Sorry but I don't have his phone number in front of me at this time.

Even if they are genuine tags- what are buyers going to do with them? Enough is known about tag date and VIN relationship that it's highly unlikely that a tag with desirable exterior and interior colours and a plausible date would appear.

Michael: I agree with you but with so many originals floating around if one waited one can come awful close to what he wants. (Color/Date/etc.)

As I recall if it determined to be incorrect for the car. The car becomes a COUNTERFIT, judging terminates and the car can never be judged again. Unless the owner finds the original tag and can prove it's the original.

Saying that, it's worth 4500 points.

The trim tag has to be verified before judging can even begin. So Harry is correct--all 4500 points.

It is worth the same as C2 trim tag = 4500 points.
