    Hi Peter,
Yes, that's the location of the dimples I see too.
    Interesting question about mounting orientation!?!

Over the years of looking at many TI cars the position of the Amplifier was not always consistent. It could be higher, Lower, to the left or right of the car you looked at 15 minutes earlier. So the only statement that works it was installed to the left side of the radiator core support to the forward inner wheel well skirt. To the rear of the left headlight assemble with 3 bolts and nuts. Have seen most common bolt TR and the some Rockford with an un-thread section, Nuts had a built in star lock washer. Silver plated finish.

Ah, if one only had the latest 1968-68 TIM&JG one would find a Service Bulletin that describes water intrusion into the first design TI Amplifier. That is the reason for the pig-tail connector in the second design.

We write these books and no one reads them.

The TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) is int he 1968-69 TIM&JG, since it was published in that time frame.

Terry -- here's the first TSB related to moisture getting into the TI amp box, with an earlier Service News warning (below). Prior to the pigtail era, although the issue was probably the same, or easier R & R,

                Hi Wayne,

That's some good info! Can you please tell me what year(s) that Technical Service Bulletin would apply to?

                Thanks!!!

Those are exactly the items that are in the 1968-69 TIM&JG. That is why I wrote: "We write the books and no one reads them."
