      Okay by me. Of the two I actually prefer the Denso W14-U. It has a "u-groove" ground electrode that provides more sharp conduction points. (Sparks like to propagate from edges, which is why electrodes tend to round off from wear.)

      The NGK B4 is very conventional with a center and ground electrode like typical sixties plugs. Both should cost in the range of two to three dollars each and give 15-30K miles of service in any small block that is in good operating condition.

      I think all Corvette engines since the C5 era use Denso plugs as OE. Both NGK and Denso are high quality products.

        Frank;

        I know exactly where you're coming from about the rev limiter. Very good feature.

        I had a similar experience with a 56 Chevy 210 show car I once owned. I had everything including the original Fuelie unit on a 58 290hp 283, followed by dual quads, a large single 4-barrel and then for the heck of it a tried a set of 3 deuces with a Mickey Mouse progressive linkage. I was winding out through the countryside in Wisconsin one night and as I went to shift to high gear the linkage went past zero and all three carbs hung open with my sun tach buried. I quickly went for the ignition switch and it popped and banged through the glaspaks until I was finally able to get it shut down and stopped. I thought for sure I'd blown the engine, but I didn't see any fluid leaks or holes in the block. So, I did a field fix of the linkage by flashlight, got back in and turned the switch to start and it fired right up just as normal as if nothing happened. Darned if that engine didn't run better than ever after that.

            Hey Fred!

            What am I, chopped liver?!

            This was my thread to begin with, Ha! (Don't quote me).

            Just kidding. Have fun in Indiana. Last time I was there was the big Pace Car reunion at IMS a few years back.

            Merry Christmas to all!
