Be careful with your engine, they may not have all the bugs worked out of it:

Re: Non-technical - 2015 Z06 @ Sport
Well, took delivery around 1700 hours last nite, after stroking the check and having salesman go through some of the features different from the ZR1. There was one minor annoyance - damned CHIME and DIC WARNING saying CAUTION- ICY CONDITIONS PRESENT! Looked at temp and it was 26 degrees which means low profile tires when cold don't do very well! In fact they recommend NOT driving the ZR1/Z06 in temperatures below 40 degrees.
After setting the exhaust note on TRACK (awesome sound) and leaving dealership, had a little excitement pulling away as back end wanted to meet front end! Definitely was exciting for me, but don't think folks around me liked it as they heard me tap accelerator and steer into the wheel spin! (VBG) Car is AWESOME all I can say, but of course only based on about 20 mile drive home.Rick Aleshire

You needed the car to tell you it was below freezing outside? Cripes! I hope all the tiny minor annoyances don't overwhelm you.
Far cry from your 63 Z06 and 67 Camaro I'm sure.
I have also been researching the new Z06 engines, seems they are built mostly in Tonanwanda, assembly line I think, but some are being made in a Performance Build Center they have just set up in BG, and those apparently are hand built like the LS9 and LS7 were in Wixom. The guy with the newly blown engine (it was a Tonawanda build) was hoping for a BG engine as a replacement, guess he figures they are better made.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top
