    Annealing lower shock mount

I saw where it is recommended to have the lower shock mounts properly annealed after plating.

Forgive my ignorance but what is this process of annealing, where can I had fit done, what is the cost?

    Thanks,

    Bill

Look up hydrogen embrittlement; there are even some threads here on the board.

Generally it is recommended that the heat relieving be done shortly after plating. I'm not sure offhand how much benefit there is days/weeks/months later.

      Thanks Patrick,

I read some of the threads on the board.

I will leave things as is given the time that has passed since the plating was done.
