    Were do you get 700? The '67 AMA specs say 500 in Drive unless it has K-19, which is 600. (Emission controlled engines always have higher idle speed recommendations because it will lower emissions.)

    IMO a lot of recommended idle speeds are a joke. Try to get a Duntov cam to idle at 700!

    If you go back a few years idle in Drive with PG was specified as low as 450.

    My advise for idle speed: "The lowest possible commensurate with acceptable idle quality". So it will vary with engine configuration and what various owners consider "acceptable".

    No rush on the speed/vacuum data, but I would like to get it.
