C1 windshield

The windshield on my '61 slips out of the rubber seal and becomes loose when the top is attached. It wass a new seal and new reproduction windshield installed about 10 years ago, but has never been right. Heas anyone else experienced this or know the cause?

Rich - Any possibility your soft top has shrunk a bit or the attachment hardware is adjusted a bit too tight and it's pulling back on the windshield top?

Mine was the result of snapped off windshield mounting post. Replacing post with "new" tabs solved the problem.

Just got done helping a friend with his. Posts were fine, top latches were too tight. We adjusted them and now there is very little movement in the windshield frame and the top is still secure.

Richard, The soft top may be too tight and likely the cause. But if it was done many years ago it is very likely that the tabs on the posts have been broken and now the frame assembly moves back from the glass.
