    SoCal Chapter Meet

    All,

    A big thank you to the SoCal chapter for a great meet yesterday at GM Down Under in OC. Beautiful day (75 and sunny), great people, and as usual, awesome cars! There were great Corvettes all over the place - 10+ judged cars, a bunch of sportsman, and who knows how many just driven there. A couple that really caught my eye were an amazing '57 FI airbox car, my buddy's '67 coupe (earned TF) and a beautiful '67 BB/400 HP/silver/blk leather/AC/vert with original bolt-ons ... Wow! Sorry, I was too busy judging and drooling to take very many pictures, but I'm hoping someone else might share.

    Again, thanks to all those members who made the event happen.

      Rob, I agree - it was great to see cars that had never been judged, and to have owners who really appreciated the feedback - even though we took quite a few deductions in some cases. That's what the hobby should be about!!

                  Reminded me of the old days. EVERYONE WAS HAVING FUN. Also had a white / blue 70 LT-1 convertible. Beautiful car. I told the owner I had not seen a car like that since GEORGE and JOANNE LYNCH sold their old salomne NCCC /Cal Club race Corvette. The owner said he was told that ''its the car'', but had no history. I gave him a card and I will help him find the original owners.

                  Now, THAT IS FUN

                                  Nice pic Don. Beautiful Airbox. So nice to see Corvettes outside on bare pavement. All we have here are snowdrifts and blizzard warnings!!
