What is the gloss level on the 67 steering wheel?

Getting ready to refinish the steering wheel and was going to do gloss but think it might be satin or semi gloss?

    What's your opinion?

    Dom,
Do you mean the actual wheel material itself? Not sure about the question

            John,
Thank's, I was asking about the steering wheel. I just cleaned it before installation and it looked dull. I was thinking of coating it with a urathane or just use something to brighten it up. It's in great shape but I want it to match the rest of the car. I have most coatings here in the shop and can use a additive to get the desired gloss level in the coating. My column came out great but the wheel needs to look the same.

            Keith,
Saw the wood grain and thought it was actually wood. Makes sense that it would be molded plastic.

Dom, I had a guy in PA restore my 67 because it had an open crack in it. I'm sure he could help you but I'm not remembering his name. Might have been Gary's Steering Wheels. I bet someone here knows him.
              Good luck with it.

Use a plastic polish. Works well.

I'll tell you how I know that a C2 plastic steering wheel can be polished. A few years ago a friend of mine found a 67 steering wheel at Carlisle for $20. It had a very dull area that made the seller think the wheel was not worth much.I suspect someone had spilled a solvent on it. I use the Novus system which consists of three grades of plastic polish. You can start with the coarsest and go up through the grades until you get the finish you want. Novus can be purchased in a kit of 3 two oz bottles for about $10. This is the best plastic polish I have ever found, and is also very effective on plastic hardtop windows and soft top real Windows.

                        William,
Thanks for the info. I had a PM that suggested Armourall . The wheel isn't damaged and I may try that first. Kinda makes me think of a rubber wax that is used on aircraft leading edge rubber boots. The wax really does the job. It actually looked good till I washed it with TSP.
TSP is a bit harsh but there were years of DIRTY hands in the grain that was hard to get out. TSP and a tooth brush cleaned it up but left the surface dull. If I have to do what you suggest, I may try what I have here that I think is similar to what you described. It't a multi step plexiglass polish for aircraft windows.
