It is with great sadness that I must report that my dear friend and longtime NCRS member Jim Salvino passed away last night after battling cancer the last several months. Jim was a true enthusiast ('67s were his passion) who's smiling face and warm personality were familiar to many in our organization and the Corvette community. Jim was also a longtime and dedicated member of the NCRS Heart of Ohio Chapter. Funeral arrangements are pending with Schoedinger Funeral Home in Worthington Ohio. http://www.funeralhomeworthington.com/

Re: Jim Salvino
That's terrible news. He was a mentor to me, a friend and a respected member of our organization. You could spot his smile from a mile away. He was always a gentleman, soft spoken and courteous. He was as passionate about our hobby as anyone. My deepest sympathies to his family. ARA- Top

Re: Jim Salvino
This is truly very sad news. Jim was a wealth of knowledge and was one of the few people that welcomed me to the NCRS as a 20 year old junior in college. He was always willing to give his time to help out with Lake Erie Chapter functions and will be greatly missed. The Corvette community lost a great friend and enthusiast and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.- Top

Re: Jim Salvino
The best parts of participating in a world of classic Corvettes are the people one meets and the knowledge gained along the way. On both accounts Jim was an exemplary, dedicated member of this community. He used his research to broaden insight, he participated in every level of Corvette activities from local tech sessions to national events and he was a consummate gentleman, always. He remains a wonderful role model for all of us.- Top
