    bolts and nuts

I have the following new parts that I am trying to remember why I bought them to use over 25 years ago. Nut part tag shows 10/25/1989. Any information on their use would be appreciated.

    4 bolts part #14060130 GR.8.800 or GR.8.000

4 nuts part #14060131 nuts are black

I still have the 68&70 Corvettes that I would of bought these parts for.

Grade 8.8 would indicate a metric application.

Keith you are correct it is Group. Looking at the other three individual bolt packages and one tag attached to one package it is Gr.8.900.

My dad has a copy of a the parts book. When I moved out he kept the books. So I can't look it up for you.

The bolts are assigned to group 8.800 and are a general use bolt. They probably do have a PRODUCTION application but I can't find any group of prime use.

The nuts are assigned to group 7.245. This is a group which includes stabilizer bar attaching hardware. However, this part number was never cataloged for a C3 Corvette.

I can tell you this much, for sure: these are definitely not part numbers which were originally used for any 1969 or 1970 Corvette. These part numbers didn't even exist at that time and were released about 1978 or 1979. Also, while it's VERY unusual for fasteners of this part number series to be metric, these are metric.
